The damage buff from Disembowel is now named Power Surge and both Disembowel and Sonic Thrust both apply and extend the effect. I will miss the buff’s aura effect though if there isn’t a way to activate that. It isn’t too much of a dumbing down, and with other additions I think Dragoon still has good rotational complexity. While that removes the minigame of keeping the buff active, it doesn’t really affect players already closer to the skill ceiling. Then from Level 70 on the Mirage Dive interaction is just built in with the Life of the Dragon trait. Now, at level 54 you receive a trait with the same name that buffs your jump damage. The biggest and potentially most polarizing change is the removal of the Blood of the Dragon buff to give it the Greased Lighting treatment. What can keep you from hanging up your lance and studying the Scythe now that we have an edgy new Job that shares your gear? Maybe I can interest you in some very nice quality of life adjustments, more pole dancing, and your very own double dragons.
